Healify is a preventive health coaching application that uses artificial intelligence to help users understand their health data, build healthier habits, and make more informed lifestyle choices. Healify:

Provides personalized insights

Analyzes your logged health data to surface trends, patterns, and educational context.

Supports habit building

Offers guided coaching, goal tracking, and reminders based on evidence-based health principles.

Answers health questions

AI-generated responses to general health and wellness questions, clearly labeled as educational content.

Integrates with Apple Health

Reads HealthKit data (with your permission) to provide context-aware guidance on activity, sleep, and vitals.

Healify does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, recommend specific medications, or replace clinical care.

3. Health Data We Collect

Healify collects the following categories of health and wellness data only with your explicit consent:

Body metrics

Height, weight, age, biological sex — used to calculate BMI, BMR, and TDEE for personalized recommendations.

Nutrition data

Food logs, calorie intake, macro- and micronutrient intake. Referenced against USDA FoodData Central database.

Activity & movement

Step counts, workout sessions, active calories, exercise types — sourced from manual logs and HealthKit.

Sleep data

Sleep duration and stage data when shared via Apple Health, used to surface recovery and sleep hygiene insights.

Vitals

Heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, and oxygen saturation when shared via HealthKit — treated as sensitive health data.

Mental wellness check-ins

Optional mood and stress logs. PHQ-9 and GAD-7 validated screening tools are used for context only — results are not diagnoses.

All data collection is governed by our Privacy Policy. You can delete your data at any time from the app's Account Settings.

4. AI Infrastructure Partners

Healify's AI is powered by a combination of large language models (LLMs) from trusted infrastructure partners. Your health data may be sent to these services to generate responses. All partners operate under strict data processing agreements (DPAs).

Amazon Web Services (AWS Bedrock)

Cerebras Systems

High-throughput inference for latency-sensitive features. Cerebras processes requests without retaining personally identifiable information or using inputs for model training, per our data processing agreement.

Key guarantee: No AI partner retains your personal health data beyond the immediate API request. None of your data is used to train third-party AI models. All transmissions are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

All health data is encrypted with TLS 1.3 during transmission and AES-256 at rest on AWS infrastructure.

No data sold to third parties

Healify never sells, rents, or brokers your personal health data. Period.

Minimal data retention

AI partner requests are ephemeral. Your stored health data is retained only as long as you maintain an account.

Your rights

You can export, correct, or permanently delete your data at any time. Request via the app or privacy@healify.ai.

7. Apple Health / HealthKit Integration

Healify integrates with Apple HealthKit to read health and fitness data stored on your device. This integration is governed by Apple's HealthKit guidelines and our privacy policy.

What we read from HealthKit (with your permission)

Steps, active energy, workout sessions, heart rate, sleep analysis, body mass, blood pressure, blood glucose, and respiratory rate.

How HealthKit data is used

HealthKit data is used solely to provide you with personalized coaching insights within Healify. It is never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or used for research without explicit consent.

Revoking access

You can revoke Healify's HealthKit access at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Healify.

Healify complies with Apple's HealthKit data use requirements. HealthKit data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

8. Mental Health Screening Tools

Important: Mental health check-ins in Healify use validated screening instruments (PHQ-9, GAD-7) for educational self-awareness purposes only. Scores are not diagnoses. Healify is not a mental health treatment service.

If you score in a range that suggests moderate to severe symptoms, Healify will prompt you to contact a qualified mental health professional. These prompts are not a substitute for clinical evaluation.

PHQ-9 (Depression screening)

A 9-item questionnaire validated for screening depression severity. Scores range from 0–27. Any score ≥10 warrants professional evaluation.

GAD-7 (Anxiety screening)

A 7-item questionnaire validated for generalized anxiety disorder screening. Scores range from 0–21. Any score ≥10 warrants professional evaluation.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your health behaviors, especially if you have or suspect you have:

Certain health metrics tracked in Healify (e.g., blood glucose, blood pressure) require clinical interpretation. Abnormal readings observed in the app should be evaluated by a physician.
